A new chapter has been opened - shoe trashed on street

Post by roli »

Some years ago I got a diabolic idea. What will happen if I place a shoe on a much frequented street?
You can imagine, I had to find out and so I searched for a good place where it is also possible to hide myself not so far away to record this cruel experiment.
It was amazing. Sooo many people don't look at their way and drove right over this shoe. Sometimes I thought they did it intentional "Oh year, - I will run you nice shoes flat"
The funny thing is that usually the front wheel dashes the shoe a bit up and then comes the rear wheel...
So you can see how the shoe got trashed more and more, got demaged, flattened, and broken.

Here are some pics for you.

Ok... flats on a road is enjoyable to see, and slightly dangerous... but HEELS on a road or train track is extremely dangerous, it's just not worth taking the risk. They may be crushed easily but they could easily cause an accident also.

Nice pics though!

I have done it with worn shoes also. It's some years ago and I must figure out the material to show here.

I also have done it with heels.
Of course it's a bit risky but on the other hand its not soo seldom that there are lying some thing around on a street. I had a period where I did this really often. I did it in the morning hours cause on the other time it is never enough time to place the shoe on the street and go back to my hiding-place. On others street which are not to much frequented it makes no sense cause if there is too much space between the cars the driver has too much time to see the object on the street and drive around.
I can say there were never a dangerous situation, even not on streets with more lines. Nobody has ever breaked for a shoe.

Crush shoes

Yes, you have right.

The lives off the people first.
If you use the heels on slowely roads, you dont have these problem, and the heels never open a hole on tire's wheels. I have made the experience twice.

Thank you for your video. Many years ago there were some road kill shoe videos for sale. I could not get a copy of them. I will be buying a copy of yours. I too would like to see mid heel pump get run over.
Thanks Roli Erv

PS (I know everybody hates Yahoo groups but high heel wrecking has lots of free wrecking videos.)

One time I made some of those sessions on a autobahn (highway) but on a road works zone where the maximum of speed was reduced to 80 km/h. There were a small parking place and there I could stop and make the clips. There I saw some big trucks running over the shoes.
To be honest: They had no chance! 8)
