The fiery death of the crushed women's slippers is the sexiest. There are 5 pairs, I just don't know where to burn them.

oh yes, womens slippers are great to burn… i love the classic style. i always think about the past when there where coal and woodstoves in nearly every flat. it was quite common to burn old shoes in them. i always have to think about a sexy sixties housewife, wearing closed toe wedge slippers…once they were worn down by sweaty nylon feet, they would end up in the stove… thrown in by the housewife herselve…. hmmmm

If I get a chance I will try and find a picture of what I mean.
They were closed toe and heel. Ballet flat shaped but more slippery than shoe like. Softer. The back heel area and sides were some sort of leather with a kind of what we now call memory foam top bit of the toe which had the pattern or picture embroidered onto it. I think it was just some nylon foam as I don't think memory foam had been invented back then. The soles were just soft rubber like slippers sometimes had. Thinking back I would not wear them now as they were a bit girl! But as a kid I did not care or know! What were my parents thinking?

I wonder why your father did that, burning your little shoes. You felt the same as we all did. Fear, respect for the dangerous fire, regret and at the same time pleasure and fascination. When we grow up and are men this feeling is directed into strong sexual emotions. Do you remember the first time you masturbated? Did you think about those poor shoes?001 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 1:23 am If I get a chance I will try and find a picture of what I mean.

From memory which isn't good at my age, my parents had bought me a new pair of slippers but they were just plain, the sort a grandad would wear although I was just a kid.
I did not wear these instead opting for my favourite fairy ones even though they were old and probably a bit broken by then.
I think my dad was just frustrated that they had spent out the money for new ones which I refused to wear, so he sort of forced my hand so as to speak.
Back then money was in short supply and my parents did the best they could buying me stuff, but the new slippers in my child's eye just did not cut the mustard, whereas my Pater was thinking of his hard-earned cash going to waste on something I was not using.
I don't think it was anything more sinister than that.
Interestingly although I saw several of my own shoes and boots roast up in flames over the years, my mother's heels and other shoes never did, preferring to go into the trash compactor at the rear of the Revopak dustcart. I remember watching several times as her delicate heels were reduced to residual waste by repeated chewing sessions from the teeth of those old dustcarts. They never seemed to push small stuff into the rear until it got caught up with a larger item. As such a pretty shoe took many chews before disappearing completely and often they were really mashed and dirtied by then.
