Why burning shoes?

All good points. Haha. I had no idea that shoes burn so well and generate so much heat. Sounds like he would have had a good time since your mom had so many shoes.

You see that shoes are very good for burning in a stove.
I remember that my father did not only burn the shoes of my mother.
Everyone around who had a modern petrol driven boiler gave their old shoes to my father for burning.
So I saw not only the shoes of my mother burning but the shoes from my aunts, from our neighbors woman and everyone who wanted to get rid of old shoes.
The shoes had been stored together with the fire wood and burned one by one preferably as fire starters if flames declined.
I remember that the fume and smell of burning leather was literally everywhere.
I often played with the shoes before they are consumed by the fire.
I couldn't rescue a single pair

I was going to ask if you tried to rescue a pair or two. I bet there were some nice shoes in that pile!

Yes there have been a lot of sexy heels among the burning victims.
In that days the sexy stilettos with pointy heels and toes came out of fashion and where discarded even if they are barely worn.
I tried to rescue some pairs but did not succeed
I was allowed to play with the old shoes but never to keep them.

It's just as it happened.

Yes. I remember a pair of home slippers from my aunt.
Very well worn cork wedges with crossing soft white leather straps and a bow on the vamp.
My aunt is not tall and the heel high was about 4 inch. As the shoes had been a size 5 US they fitted nicely to my little child feet.
The wedges had soft cushioned inner soles and some deep and dirty toe prints on them.
The soles had been worn down at the heels so that the cork was damaged severely.
I loved the shoes and managed to keep them for a long time for I found a good hiding place for them.
But no place in the house or even in the garden was really safe for doomed shoes.
My father found them one day and put them into the coal cradle.
Every day I looked into the cradle if the shoes are still there and played with them. One day I found only one shoe in the coal cradle. The second one was burnt meanwhile.
I took the single wedge sandal, opened the fire hatch from the old boiler and tossed the poor shoe in.
It took a little while but then the flames begun to eat the upper leather with bright flames.
This was exactly the moment I felt my little dick swelling.
It took a while to burn the shoes completely and I watched the burning totally mesmerized and aroused.
