I cannot remember all how the Oxfords went as once they were in the centre of the furnace and the flames were just so intense that it became hard to see the shoes at all.
However there were other shoes roasting up I. The fire that day, as I said there were quite a few from the girls next door! Yes, sandals with straps always die in a similar way. The straps twist in different directions in agony and sometimes the entire sandals roll up into a ball suffering terribly.
