How to take off rain boots from barefeet
My wife done this after she stuck in her rain boots barefeet (after a walk). I couldn't stop her, it was too fast

Oh no! Poor rubberboots!
A friend of mine injured his ankle so the doctor had to cut his rubberboot open from the top to the toes to get his foot out.
Fotunately your wife didn't do the same to her boots.
Maybe she can repair them with some laces like this:
