Shame they're not high heels
I've got a pair of high heel loafers which are pretty trashed after being worn in a lot of mud and deep water,They have never been cleaned so they're ingrained with mud from all the saokings they've had in ankle deep mud.The inner soles have gone, the inner linings are torn in lots of places, the beading over the back at the heel has come loose so when I walk it's like a little sling back as my heel slips out of my shoe. The stitching on the straps over the front has gone and one strap is flapping and the other day there was a ripping noise and one of them split from the bottom of the flap right down to the sole. I can hardly keep it on when I walk - but I can so they haven't been chucked out yet.
Need some new loafers for the mud though - good they're coiing back into fashion...
