I have the two shoes.
I use only one for abuse. Has you can see, my wife threw them to trash after the dog chewed them.
They have lot damage.

Rather than burying in the sand find a bottle with big enough neck to get them or at least one in. Document the poor shoes suffering and pop in there with the shoe then cast into the sea. Like a shoe in a bottle!

This would be a great idea.
I already have a new destination for these mules with a member of this forum. In September I should already have news.

Just back from my holidays I would say the shoes should be worn again from a nice lady.
They don't look completely broken.
